IT’S TIME TO DANCE

Whether you have had years of formal dance training or have never danced before, our studio is the place to build on your technique in the best ways possible and love it! And there’s so much more - arts classes in acting and music as well as our very own Gospel choir!

half Day Program for Gr. 10-12 students!

For Students Grade 10-12 who are serious about building on their dance training while also getting Ministry of Education credit, our Half Day Program might be for you! Advanced and Intermediate options are available. Click the botton below for more info.

Our staff are here to equip you in whatever style you want to pursue whether it's ballet, pointe, hiphop, tap, jazz, or contemporary. Try a few or focus on a couple, From beginning dancers still finding their way into dance, to seasoned dancers who want to keep up their technique or return to dance after years away. WE WELCOME ALL AGES AND STAGES!

ADULT DANCE & WELLNESS CLASSES TOO!

We recognize the unique needs of our adult students and want to provide a safe, encouraging environment to get yourself into the studio and thriving in dance and body-aware movement! There are no dress codes and recitals are not mandatory—but if you do still want to perform, there are classes that will allow you that opportunity. If you’re just starting, try out our ESTEEM classes or any of our beginner or Level 1 adult classes. If you are a more experienced dancer, choose from our numerous upper level classes.

 

GOSPEL CHOIR

THE HEALING POWER OF YOUR OWN VOICE

It’s a great feeling to join with a whole crowd of other voices to inspire and be inspired by the soothing sounds of Gospel music. Each Wednesday at Bez under the exceptional leadership of Lincoln Tatem and the thrilling accompaniment of Diane Lines, you’ll have the chance to do just that! All ages 15 and up are welcome!

Post Secondary Arts Training

One year (September to May) and up to 4 years

Training for young adults and adults

  • Those interested in honing their skills in the arts towards a professional level

Dance

  • You’ll be given opportunity to train in a number of dance forms from Contemporary to Ballet, to Jazz to Hip Hop

Music and/or Acting

  • We will create a customized program for your specific needs, ambitions and abilities

Original Creative Work

  • Not just technique but crafting artistic expression in creative classes where exercises are designed to access your own unique voice

In 2021 with the challenges of the pandemic, a providential collaboration began between Bez Dance (and Bez Arts Hub) and Amy Hamilton’s Dance Arts. It brought together two studios, that had been in operation independently for a number of years, into a serendipitous union of mutual values focussed on affirmation, nurturing and all around care for the dancer. Amy and Sandy have forged a strong, creative and honouring partnership that has produced a healthy, attentive and dynamic dance and arts community for all ages! We look forward to working together for many years to come and think Bez would be a great place for any/many creative souls to plant themselves!
