Sandy Rosen

Creative Director

Bez studio owner, mentor and creative coach to dancers for more than 20 years. With a background in Psychology, Kinesiology and Dance at SFU, Sandy comes alongside dancers to nurture creativity, self-honour and wellness.

Rus Rosen

Artistic Director

Russ Rosen is a seasoned singer-songwriter with over 40 years of experience in the music industry. He is known for his extensive catalog of more than a dozen albums and hundreds of original songs. He serves as Artistic Director and host of the Open Mic Nights in the Bez space where he is noted for bringing a welcoming and encouraging presence to every event and performance.

Amy Hamilton

Dance Director

Amy is a versatile dancer and instructor with a diverse education in all dance mediums, taking her from achievements in her Royal Academy of Dance examinations, to a Mentor Apprenticeship with Ballet B.C, touring with renown music and visual artists and becoming a Dance Captain for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. In the 15 years of creating her own studio “Amy Hamilton’s Dance Arts” and merging with “Bez Dance” in 2021, Amy continues to devote her passion into discovering the individual heart and soul of each dancer she is privileged to work with and believes in creating a safe space for dancers to evoke their artistic expression, where ALL are welcome.

Kendra Craig

Administrator

Kendra has been involved with Bez Arts Hub (formerly Dance Barn Studio) since she was in high school - first as a student in the evening dance and Mirror Arts (now Bez Mentorship) programs, then as a teacher for multiple dance styles, and now as the administrator who keeps everyone organized. When Kendra’s not at Bez you can find her choreographing for Ignite Theatre’s upcoming production of High School Musical!

Daniel Sittler

Lead Sound Technician

Daniel is a central and foundational member of the Bez Team. He was trained in our Bez Arts Mentorship Program and brings a versatile skill set to this role, serving as technician, recording engineer, producer, and cameraman. Along with a passion for helping make shows a great experience for artists and audiences, he is really good at making sounds at a hockey game.

Josh Wilson

Very Very Academy Coordinator

As the academy coordinator, Josh builds curriculum, supports instructors, and teaches courses rooted in play. When he isn't doing that, he performs, hosts D&D nights, produces podcasts, and enjoys time with his wife.

Cliff Prang

Very Very Improv Artistic Director

Cliff is an actor, comedian, writer and producer. When he is not on stage or screen, it's because he didn't get the gig and he can be found floating on a lake or playing Yahtzee on a blanket with a British lady. 

Danielle Harvey

Dance Mentor

Danielle Harvey is a choreographer & instructor from BC with over 20 years of experience as a professional dancer on So You Think You Can Dance Canada Season 3, Company member of Move The Company directed by Joshua Beamish of Vancouver Ballet, and so much more. Danielle's passion is choreography and mentorship which she has brought to the forefront in every project she has spearheaded including Team Canada BC, Impact Dance Productions, and West Coast Choreolab.

Diane Lines

Gospel Choir Accompanist

In 2018 Diane was inducted into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame. She was also nominated for an Ovation Award as Musical Director of the Year. Diane was the pianist/accompanist for Grammy winner Michael Bublé and has also performed with a variety of artists including: Gabriel Mark Hasselbach, Marian McPartland, Beverley Elliott, Dee Daniels, Jim Byrnes, Blues Boss Kenny Wayne, Gospel great John Boutte, Alfie Zappacosta, Bria Skonberg, Linda Tillery, Amanda Wood and Shari Ulrich.

Elise Melo

Dance Mentor

Elise Melo is a dynamic and versatile force in the dance industry, dedicated to empowering and inspiring the next generation of dancers. With 20 years of experience in the dance industry, she thrives on helping dancers unlock their limitless potential through movement, hard work, mindfulness, and self-belief.

Elizabeth Aguasin

Dance Instructor

Elizabeth is a versatile artist whose multi-genre training shapes her unique and dynamic approach to choreography. With professional experience in the dance industry and a history of teaching across the Greater Vancouver Area, she aims to help all of her students grow into an empowered and passionate creative.

Erin Horikiri

Dance Instructor

Erin grew up dancing competitively and now trains as a member of Bez's Mentorship Dance Program. She is a certified Acro dance instructor and currently co-teaches Beginner Acro, as well as being a substitute teacher for classes in other styles when needed. Erin loves working in performing arts and continuing to expand her creative work both within dance and other related mediums.

Lincoln Tatem

Gospel Choir Director

Lincoln Tatem is a Vancouver-based musical polymath with a degree in music composition. After years of singing, playing, writing, and producing as an integral part of the sound of a number of the Vancouver area’s finest music makers. His album “A Voice, and Hope, and a Drum” garnered multiple Gospel Music Award nominations and one Covenant Award win.

In addition to his activity as a band leader, sideman, and solo artist on the Vancouver music scene, and as a sought-after clinician and adjudicator, Tatem currently serves as Music Director at West Point Grey in Vancouver.

Mikayla Scramstad

Acting Instructor

Mikayla is a theatre artist living and working in the valley. After graduating with a BFA in acting she's been teaching on and off for the last five years and is very excited and grateful to be working with Bez Arts Hub.

Selene Dublanko

Dance Instructor

Selene Dublanko was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and has trained in Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, Ballet and Contemporary dance. Whether she is performing, teaching or choreographing, Selene is truly grateful for the gift of movement and wants to share it with everyone!

Danielle Austin

Dance Instructor

Danielle is a lifelong performing artist with comprehensive training spanning Ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, and tap. Her professional experience includes competing and performing at a national and regional levels as a Youth Ambassador for Canada; alongside participating in school tours for the educational programs, Arts Starts. With over 25 years as a dedicated dance instructor, she is continuously training to be able to share her passion, love and expertise with students.

Mobi Esteban

Dance Instructor

Mobi Esteban is a 19 year old dancer and student at SFU. She began acrobatic dance when she was 3 and has since developed a love for movement that has expanded to all dance styles, as well as a passion for teaching. She is a certified Acro dance instructor and currently co-teaches Beginner Acro at Bez.

Tessa Davies

Venue Host & Dance Instructor

Tessa Davies is a graduate of the Bez Mentorship Program who is passionate about creating honest and expressive work. She is continuing to pursue a creative career in dance while teaching and working here at Bez.

Alita van der Zalm

Teaching Sub

Alita van der Zalm is a dancer currently a part of the BEZ Mentorship Program while studying at UBC. She has been dancing since the age of two with experience across multiple dance styles, she brings a deep love of movement into her dancing, choreographing, and teaching.

Georgia Williscroft

Teaching Sub

Georgia started dancing at a young age and began training again ten years after an injury. She is currently a second year student in the Mentorship program as well as at SFU, pursuing a degree in psychology. Her favourite styles of dance are jazz and contemporary.
