We love young dancers and believe there should be a way for them to take advantage of their high school years to earn credit for all of their hard work in dance. The Bez Arts Half Day Dance Program is for dancers who want to obtain credit for their dance training and acquire enhanced dance skills in the process.

What Bez Half Day Program is offering:

Accreditation

  • Dance & Media Course credits with the Ministry of Education

Compassionate instructors

  • Notable dancer/teacher/choreographers who care about each individual

Important Dance Foundations

  • Each dancer growing to their next levels in form and function

Choreography and Creative Discovery

  • Essential tools and strategies for experimenting with movement and creativity

Healthy Dancer Conditioning

  • Crucial exercises and kinaesthetic awareness for a sustainable dance life

Performance

  • In various dance styles and contexts

When?

  • 3 Daytimes and 2-3 Evenings per week

  • To be attended in conjunction with other academic half day programs, homeschooling or correspondence.

Amy Hamilton

After interning in Ballet BC under the tutelage of Crystal Pite and decades of dancing professionally, Amy has returned to teaching and loves to find the uniqueness of each individual.

Danielle Harvey

An award-winning choreographer, So You Think You Can Dance Canada Alum, Team Canada West head choreographer, dancing with notable companies such as Motus Operandi, Josh Beamish & Rachel Poirier. Her truest passion is to ensure individuals feel accepted, even healed, through movement.

Sandy Rosen

Bez studio owner, mentor and creative coach to dancers for more than 20 years. With a background in Psychology, Kinesiology and Dance at SFU, Sandy comes alongside dancers to nurture creativity, self-honour and wellness.

Bez Arts Hub

is a community Arts Training Centre and performance venue in the heart of Langley. Its foundational staff have been training dancers for more than 25 years and have been prominent in the dance industry for many more. We believe in creating a place of care, belonging and artistic excellence where young and emerging artists are nurtured and strengthened for lasting artistic pursuits.

Joanna Anderson

Is a distinguished dancer and choreographer having co-created her own original productions as well as creating choreography for film (John Bryant & Jordan Klassen videos). Jo is curious about cultivating and connection around the body and its tie to emotional expression and the human psyche.
