Jenny Banai & Bre McDaniel

  • Bez Arts Hub 20230 64 Avenue Langley, BC, V2Y 1N3 Canada (map)

We are thrilled to have these two creative souls at BEZ it will be a wonderful evening. Come early, we will open the doors at 7:00 and have beverages and snacks.

Jenny Banai

Although unique to her own, some have said her voice and melodies are likened to the playful warmth of folk singer-songwriter, Joni Mitchell, mixed with the soulful tresses of folk-pop artist, Feist. "The interwoven fabrics created to design her debut album Flowering Head, are just as they are meant," Jenny notes "the soft intimate lyrics and melodies and intricate happenings cloud this piece with fullness.

Bre McDaniel

Born during the Tears of St Lawrence meteor shower, her voice has been described as magic on toast. She began writing music during a visual arts degree, and her songs retain a painterly detail in the way she crafts sonic palettes and story. Her recent EP has "an ethereal but intimate dream-folk sound," (Georgia Straight) and she has begun touring Western Canada in support of Light Pollution (produced by Jordan Klassen).

Documentary

Bre and Jenny created a documentary on their first Canadian tour, featuring the nature of traveling with artists of different mediums and highlighting their heritage and connection to each other and to Canada. Their hope was to capture the magic of the trip and to inspire others to seek out the jewels in their lives and to give it a go--whatever it is that inspires them to life.
