Andrew Nemr is considered one of the most diverse tap dance artists today. An international performer, choreographer, educator and speaker, Andrew has played with Grammy Award winning musicians across multiple genres, founded the tap dance company Cats Paying Dues, directs the Tap Dance Freedom education platform, and co-founded the Tap Legacy™ Foundation, Inc., along with his mentor Gregory Hines.
Matt Garstka (Animals as Leaders) joins us for a workshop to demonstrate aggressive drumming technique combined with finesse and creativity.
The Kwerks are made up of Laura and Ryan Koch, a married duo, and their band, who have a unique rhythmic folk-pop sound. Listeners are hard-pressed to not break out in dance as they hear their crowd favourite, “Freight Train”. With Laura’s peppy yet deep songwriting, Ryan’s humorous dance moves, and a tight, unique sound from the band, the band offers shows packed with fun, authentic goodness.

Smith and Fraser are caught in the middle between folk and jazz – and the result is magic. Master musicians, their concerts reflect influences as diverse as Django Rheinhart, Bruce Cockburn, Dave Brubeck and James Taylor. They play a mix of original and classic tunes, that keep delighted audiences guessing.
Ezra Kwizera is an international artist, music producer and community leader. Ezra’s music style is richly multi‐cultural – a zesty yet soulful mix of Reggae, Soca, East African Bongo, and Pop. With linguistic agility, Ezra fluidly sings and raps in English, Kinyarwanda, Luganda, Zulu and Swahili. Growing up as a refugee in Uganda before moving back to his home country Rwanda after the 1994 genocide, Ezra has a powerful motivation to support Rwandans through his music to rebuild their country. His music conveys the spark of an overcomer and the passion of a community leader with a vision to inspire change in his generation. He currently lives in BC, Canada.

Folk powerhouse pair The Small Glories are Cara Luft & JD Edwards, a dynamic duo planted on the Canadian Prairies. A self-professed “study in contrasts,” Luft's folkie yin proves a perfect match for Edwards’ rocker yang. Thrown together purely by accident for an anniversary show at Winnipeg’s venerable West End Cultural Centre, The Small Glories is a partnership that could almost make you believe in fate.
